Here is my original post from a little earlier today:
I was hoping that updating to WordPress 2.3.2 would solve the weird problem I have been having for the last several months, which is that when ever I post a link to an audio file (located at one of my Libsyn sites), nothing appears but a blank space.
Here’s an example: http://media.libsyn.com/brainsciencepodcast/27-brainscience.mp3
While there should be a link to the right of the colon, nothing appears.
It is pretty hard to post podcast notes to a site where this happens!
If you are reading the current version of this post you should be able to see the audio link. My husband suggested that I turn off my plugins to see if they were causing the problem. He was right! It turned out to be that I was not entering the link in the correct format for the Audio Player Word Press Plugin.
According to the 1 Pixel Out website:
You can also use absolute paths to link to files on other servers:
[audio:http://www.somedomain.com/path/to/name_of_mp3_file]
Unfortunately, when I used this formatting I still got a blank space. Maybe it will work with a different theme, but I haven’t tried that yet.
