In the Brain Science Podcast© we explore how recent scientific discoveries are unraveling age-old mysteries, such as intelligence, emotions, personality, and memory. We also look at why the brain is much more complex than any computer yet devised.
If you are curious about how the brain makes you who you are this is the podcast for you.

Books and Ideas© is more of a audio blog about everything that seems interesting. While the main focus is books, especially non-fiction. I will also discuss television, science fiction, movies, other podcast, and anything else that seems interesting. Basically, this podcast is where i put anything that doesn’t fit into the Brain Science Podcast.

ginbud1101c.jpg A little more about me (yes, I love Golden Retrievers!):

I was born in Seattle, Washington and grew up in Huntsville, Alabama. My husband Dennis Smith, and I have spent the last 30 years living in or near Birmingham, Alabama (Pelham since 1986).

After earning two degrees in engineering, I went to medical school. I am currently working as an emergency physician, but my long-time dream has been to work in a field that allows more creativitity. I have always enjoyed writing, but since I began podcasting in 2006, it has given me an outlet both for my creativity and my enjoyment of sharing ideas with others.

I have a personal website at http://gingercampbell.com

I also have a fairly active Vox Blog and I enjoy posting pictures on Flickr.com.

I have also posted a few videos (mostly of animals) on YouTube.

Feel free to send me friend requests for My Space or Facebook. There is a group for the Brain Science Podcast on Facebook.
