Problems with Podango continue!

by Ginger Campbell, MD on June 19, 2007

It turns out that the problems with Podango™ are more serious than I realized. It appears that my feeds have been hijacked and that I am not the only one that this has happened to.You can read the details at http://podcast411.com/forums/viewtopic.php?p=3364#3364

Rob Walch of Podcast 411 has also issued a warning blog post to other podcasters.

As of this morning, I am still unable to regain control over my feeds despite the efforts of the people at iTunes™.

I will be talking to Doug Smith of Podango™ shortly to see if they will finally fix the problem!

Hi Ginger, I’m sure you’re aware of this now, but all episodes of your podcast are appearing on iTunes again, so it looks like your persistence has paid off.

John,

Thanks for posting your feedback. The disturbing thing is that I could not get Podango™ to fix the problem until
Rob at Podcast 411 accused them of hijacking my feed.

Now they are saying that the whole problem was my fault, which also ignores the fact that if they had fixed the problem when I first reported it, I would have never posted on the Podcast 411 Forums.

Other disturbing facts are that the re-direct code was in the Podango™ feed, not the Libsyn™ feed and the same problem is affecting Brains Matter, even though he never re-directed his primary feed toward Podango™.
