Why should you support my podcasts?
Both of my podcasts are available free to all listeners via either direct download or various subscriptions options. Episode Transcripts are also free. Therefore, I appreciate listeners who are able to support my work through donations and monthly subscriptions. I spend 20-40 hours a week preparing my podcasts, doing research, maintaining my websites and corresponding with listeners. My goal is to eventually do this full-time. I don’t want to rely on advertising income, so I am trying to follow NPR model of listener support.
How Much?
I am trying to follow the lead of many independent musicians who are letting their fans pay what they think is fair. Books and Ideas and the Brain Science Podcast come out monthly. $5 per month represents a donation of only $2.50 per episode. Since I put about 20-40 hours of preparation into each episode, I appreciate those of you who are able to give more, but all amounts are appreciated.
Please note that these donations are not tax-deductible.
You can support my Podcasts via secure PayPal™ methods (see below for other options)

Listeners outside the United States who do not want to use PayPal might want to use MoneyGram®, which will probably charge less for conversion to US dollars than your local bank. If you choose this option you will need to send me an email at gincampbell@mac.com giving me the information I need to get the funds from the MoneyGram outlet that is near where I live.
